  • Dr Hilton Jones
    Dr Hilton Jones
    Medical Director

    Dr Jones has been a Shorecare doctor since 1997 and Medical Director since 2010. For many years he has worked almost exclusively the overnight shift at our 24 hr clinic and still does so.

    He is an immigrant, having arrived in 1965 by passenger ship from the UK, aged 7, and has loved Auckland ever since. He attended University in Auckland and has worked here throughout, excepting a few years in Hamilton. He has three lovely daughters and two ugly cats.

  • Dr Robyn Theakston
    Dr Robyn Theakston
    Clinical Governor

    Dr Theakston began regular work at the North Cross and Smales Farm clinics just three years ago. She qualified in Auckland in 1987 and has an extensive background in both Urgent Care and General Practice. Her role as Clinical Governor, which commenced in March 2019, is primarily to continue building our great team of Urgent Care Practitioners and other providers and to liase with GPs and other organisations involved in Primary Care on the Shore. She is married, with three grown up children and one grandchild .

  • Stephenie Quinn
    Stephenie Quinn
    General Manager

    Stephenie Quinn oversees the daily operations of Shorecare. She ensures that both the Smales Farm and Northcross clinics run smoothly and patient needs are fulfilled. Originally from the UK, Stephenie moved to NZ in 2005 with her ‘Kiwi’ husband and two children. She has worked in Senior Management for many years in the UK and finds the Health industry exciting, albeit ever changing!

  • Ernie Quimba
    Ernie Quimba

    Ernie holds a business degree and is a Certified Public Accountant from the Philippines. He has been in-charge of the accounting and finance functions of companies engaged in hotel and mall operations. He moved to New Zealand together with his family in 2007. He has been with Shorecare since 2010 and is responsible for the financial reporting of the company. He loves spending his spare time with his wife and three sons.

  • Sarah Peters
    Sarah Peters
    Nurse Manager

    Sarah Peters leads the nursing staff across both clinics and ensures the clinics are resourced appropriately for the day to day requirements. Sarah graduated in 1988 and has worked in Emergency Departments in senior roles for most of her career. She has completed a post graduate diploma in Leadership and Management and enjoys the challenges of this role. She is passionate about best practice and education as well as ensuring customer focus is optimum.

    Pip Gaensicke
    Clinical & Administration Coordinator

    Pip is originally from the Hawkes Bay lured to the big city by the bright lights. She met her husband in Auckland and has three children who attend the local schools. Pip ensures that both clinics are staffed with Doctors and helps patients with their ACC lodgements.

  • Yvette Mesman
    Yvette Mesman
    Head Receptionist

    Yvette Mesman is the Head Receptionist across both of our clinics. She has worked for Shorecare for over 20 years. In her administrative role she overseas the general day to day running of the Northcross and Smales Farm clinics ensuring that the Orthoepaedic clinics run smoothly and is in charge of the roster for the reception staff. She also looks after the Accredited work place injury invoicing and assists the ACC Co-ordinater with acc claims.

    Felicity Craft
    Marketing & Administration Support

    Born and raised in Auckland, and with a GP for a father, it’s little wonder Felicity was drawn towards healthcare. She joined us in 2014 and has recently transitioned from receptionist to her new role covering all things advertising and providing support to all other admin team members. On any given day you can find her following up on your ACC claims, creating new Shorecare ad campaigns, tackling maternity invoicing, updating this website and much more.
